Morsø 6148 Freestanding Wood Heater

The Morsø 6148 is a premium cast-iron wood heater that combines Danish craftsmanship with a distinctive raised pedestal design. Its elegant oval firebox, concealed hinges and minimalist styling create a sculptural freestanding fireplace that works particularly well in contemporary interiors.

Elevated above the floor on its circular pedestal, the 6148 has a lighter visual presence than a conventional freestanding wood heater while placing the fire at an excellent viewing height. The large glass door provides a clear view of the flames, making the fire itself the centrepiece of the design.

Behind its minimalist exterior, the 6148 uses Morsø's convection system together with pre-heated combustion air, secondary air and tertiary air to support effective wood combustion. An Airwash system helps keep the glass cleaner, while a simple air-control system makes everyday operation straightforward.

Constructed from high-quality cast iron, the 6148 also includes an ash tray for easier cleaning and can accommodate an optional outside-air supply.
